Hello everyone!

I'd like to start off by saying My names matt, though in-game i'd prefer to be called Mathias, Or Merkwyn ^_^

I'm currently 22 years of age, and just getting back into the terraria scene, after taking a break of over a year!
I've played Terraria, since the initial release, though my game play time hasn't been consistent.
I'm looking for a home server, where I can relive the enjoyable experience which is terraria, with a few friends, and some challenges along the way.
Looking forward to getting to know each of you more in depth!

Well... As it turns out this server is host to parasitic little kids. Who would find it more fun to tease other players, and play pranks, then being helpful/nice, and a decent person. I won't be back, more then most likely, and I hope that any other players considering this server take a moment to realize that what they advertise is false. This is not a "New" Player friendly server, and if you are such, I suggest staying away.

Hey there Mathias, I'm sorry to see that you've had a negative experience with the server , but I appreciate your feedback! I hope that I can say a few things before you make the decision to leave this community.

As someone who has played Terraria in its early stages as well, I also seek to relive those nostalgic moments and share them with others, hence how this server was born.
While the server isn't perfect, we are always striving to improve it. I can proudly say that this server has grown a lot since 5 years ago and continues to grow. Our community has gained many dedicated players and trustworthy staff members who make an effort to offer players like you a better experience. It does, however, have its bumpy moments; right now is one of them.

I can understand your frustrations as a new player; you just entered the world and suddenly find yourself stuck with starting gear in Hardmode. It's not stated exactly in the description, but if you look at this server update, the server runs a check every 30 minutes to see if it's the weekend. If not, it will disable Hardmode. This allows experienced players to continue their progression in the game while allowing newer players to continue their early progression.
Unfortunately, you have joined at a bumpy time for the server. What I mean by this is that we are in early/heavy development. You can view these previous announcements to get a better understanding:

I want to resolve this little misunderstanding, we are not trying to falsely advertise the server by any means. With the new update (1.3.4) that recently came out, our development with the server was suspended as we worked on fixing and updating broken features. We've only just recently gotten the server to be functional and hosted back to the public less than a week ago (You can see the server's status here), so what you read in the description is slightly outdated.

Currently, I would recommend completely new players of Terraria to revisit the server after getting a basic understanding of how the game works before diving into this server; otherwise, they will probably feel overwhelmed.

As for your experience with "parasitic little kids", I guarantee that you are bound to see this behavior in nearly every gaming community. From what I've witnessed in the server log, the "Alt+F4" prank is a common joke played on others. Those with a sense of humor can easily perceive it as a joke and not take it seriously. You probably missed it in the chat, but your question about item tags was appropriately answered right after the joke.

If you would prefer not to see this mischevious behavior, I recommend playing on a private server, rather than a public server (as there are far worse things than just this joke).

So, that's all I have to say for now. I hope you'll reconsider your decision and if you do end up leaving, I hope you end up enjoying that nostalgic experience and come back for a visit!
